Jim Symon a Scottish broadcaster who was born and raised in Glasgow. Jim began his career at Radio Clyde in 1981 as a relief presenter for the Drivetime programme Clydewide Tonight. Afterwards, he continued to present various programmes for the station. By 1983, Symon had joined Scottish Television as a continuity announcer and newsreader. During this time, he voiced many nationwide TV advertisements in the UK and was also chosen as the voice for a talking version of an Action Man toy.
