Location: Douglas Hotel, Aberdeen On 2nd October a Ball is being held in the Douglas Hotel in aid of Maritime Rescue Institute Stonehaven and Grampian Society for the Blind. Time: 19:30:00 to 21:30:00 Location: St Machar's Cathedral, Old Aberdeen, AB24 1RQ On 2nd October at 7.30pm Scotland’s only professional Medieval ensemble gives a programme of medieval and contemporary music in celebration of the 1100th anniversary of the Abbey of Cluny and the 1500th anniversary of Christianity in Scotland. The programme will include the first performance in modern times of parts of a newly-discovered medieval Irish office for St Cannice (Kenneth), exquisite Franco-Scottish music and music in praise of Celtic saints from the Dark Ages.
