  Aberdeen International Youth Festival (Festival)
  Location: Aberdeen

On 6th August at 1pm Flora Cook at Lemon Tree, Colin Brockie and Kay Ritchie at Cowdray Hall and Opera Residency at Elphinstone Hall. At 3pm Splore Participants at MacRobert Building, RSAMD Opera Residency at Elphinstone Hall and Jack and the Giant Peach at Holburn West Church. 7.30pm at the Music Hall Chamber music, Pure Brass, Hoot, Hebrides Ensemble and Norwegian Girls Choir. 7.30pm at HMT Ceol Mor Bodega, North Shore Celtic Emsemble and Coast String Fiddlers and the Lemon Tree at 8pm has Twinning Projecy AIYF 2010

On Saturday 7th August the Ogston Prize winner , Alison Gormley will perform a vocal recital at 1pm in the Cowdray Hall. Twinning Project AIYF 2010 are at the Lemon Tree at 2.30pm and an International Variety Gala is on at HMT at 7.30pm.
  Lourin Fair (Traditional local fair)
  Location: Old Rayne

On Saturday 21st August the Lourin Fair takes place in Old Rayne. The fair opens at 11am till 5pm and there's something for everyone. The biggest Clydesdale Horse event in Scotland, dog competition, wellie hurling and lots of bakery and crafts. entry £4,OAP's £1.50 along with 12-18's under 12's free. www.oldrayne.org.uk

  FISSH Fun Day (Fun Day)

On Sunday 22nd August it's the FISSH Fun Day at James Ramsey Park in Fraserburgh from 12 noon. Fun for all ages.
  Raise a smile for Glencraft (fund raiser)
  Location: Blue Lamp, Gallowgate

A stand up comedy night is being held in the Blue Lamp from 8pm on Friday 20th August to raise funds towards the £500,000 needed to relocate Glencraft. Tickets are £10 from the Box Office, call 641122 or call Stephanie on 777139
  Stonehaven Art Exhibition (Art Exhibition and Sale)

From the 31st July till the 8th August Stonehaven Art Exhibition and sale is on at Stonehaven Town Hall. Opening from 10 - 5pm daily and 12 till 4.30pm on Sunday. With over a hundred exhibits there's something for everyone
  I Am What I Am Musical Extravaganza (Charity Event)

  Macmillan World's Biggest Coffee Morning Registration Day (Registration Day)

Come along to the Trinity Centre on Saturday the 21st of August to register to take part in the Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. You can help make a huge difference to people affected by cancer, just by getting your friends together. This year we need your help to raise over £8 million. Your fundraising will make a vital difference to the two million people living with cancer in the UK today. Get together with friends, family and colleagues on Friday the 24th of September and raise some money (and a smile) for people affected by cancer.

The Stonehaven Business Association and local charities run car boot sales in the Market Square every Sunday morning from April to October. A pitch costs £10 but every 4th week is free and booking is not normally required. See the website or phone 01569 760321 for more details.
